Valeria Georgieva continues her impressive performance on the national and international judo scene

Valeria Georgieva’s successes increase with each tournament in which our young judoka takes part. In a little over a month, her skills were duly appreciated with several more awards.

At the beginning of September, Sliven hosted the first edition of the international tournament Blue Stones Cup 2025. The competition covered age groups from U8 to U18, with Valeria coping with most of her opponents and deservedly winning the bronze medal in the respective age group.

Success accompanied our young athlete in Niš, Serbia, where at the end of September her impressive level was recognized with a bronze medal during the Medijana Cup tournament.

The medal collection of our talented judoka was also enriched thanks to her participation in the traditional Yanko Dimov open judo tournament, which took place on October 11 and 12 in the sports hall of Lokomotiv Stadium – Sofia. The competition, which is part of the official calendar of the Bulgarian Judo Federation, was attended by 20 clubs from all over the country. Here too, Valeria put in a strong performance, earning her the silver medal.

A few days later, in Pazardzhik, a city known for its judo traditions, the State Team Championship for Cadets and Girls was held. This time, the technique of our talented judoka was also evaluated at the team level, as they reached the prize-winning third place.

The series of successes clearly shows that Valeria Georgieva is among the most dynamically progressing young athletes in Bulgaria. Our support is an expression of conviction that her potential and talent will continue to be highly appreciated, and the awards she has won will continue to increase.
