Young judoka Valeria Georgieva continues to win awards at national and international tournaments. In March, she won 3 medals from prestigious competitions, overcoming serious opponents from Bulgaria and abroad.
Our talented judoka participated in the 18th International Tournament, “Mladost Evrope,” in Nis, Serbia. This is one of the largest judo competitions in the region, with over 400 participants this year. Valeria once again demonstrated impressive technique and returned with a bronze medal.
Our young sports talent performed exceptionally at the annual “Cup of Perun” tournament in Pernik. She competed against nearly 500 judokas from Greece, Moldova, and Bulgaria and secured first position in the under 40 kg category. Despite the tough competition, her hard work and dedication paid off, as she won the prestigious gold medal for the second year in a row.
Apart from judo, the young athlete also excels in another combat sport, namely sambo. There, she once again demonstrated exceptional skills, winning a gold medal at the DLOSH tournament for cadets (under 15 category) in Panagyurishte at the beginning of April.
Perseverance, talent, and constantly developing technique undoubtedly make Valeria one of the most promising young judokas in Bulgaria. Because of these qualities, we continue to support her on her way to great success and believe that the most significant victories are yet to come.
